You will demonstrate success by: + Providing instruction at major fleet concentration areas providing a variety of special evolutions training courses. + Liaison with customers including USN staffs and ship's training personnel. + Provide insight for scheduling of ship's company training in the region and submit necessary training completion reports. Qualifications: + High School Diploma/GED is required + BS Degree in an engineering field is highly desired. + Candidate must be one or more of the following; a former Sr. Navy Surface Ship Commanding Officer, Master Mariner, Ships Master, Coast Guard Captain, Unlimitied Tonnage Master, Harbor Pilot, or Commercial Ship Captain with at least three (3) years in Command, at sea service, OR U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) licensed as a Master, Any Gross Tons, Oceans, with Three (3) years at sea experience, as a ships Master. + Must have received appropriate guidance in instructional techniques and competency assessment methods and practice involving the use of simulators + Demonstrated expert level knowledge and understanding of NSS subject areas outlined, NSS TRD, current version of the Surface Ship Navigation Department Organization and Regulations Manual (NAVDORM), standard Navy conning commands, maritime education and training best practices, U.S. Navy Surface Ship particulars and maneuvering characteristics for all ship classes. + Travel may be required, for both US and overseas, Passport is required. + Must be a U.S. Citizen + Must have a Secret Clearance at the time of hire Please be aware many of our positions require the ability to obtain a security clearance.
