The ideal Clinical Lead Medical Assistant candidate for Scripps Carmel Valley Same Day Clinic will be someone who can jump into a teamwork environment, where you will partner with up to 28 other Medical Assistants, servicing several Providers. We are looking for someone who is comfortable rooming patients, assisting with injections and checking vital signs, as well as handling phones with inbound and outbound patient calls. As the Clinical Lead, you will maintain added responsibilities such as day to day staffing coverage management, managing inventory and KRONOS, along with other various lead duties.
Along with performing as a staff Medical Assistant, the Clinical Lead (MA) is responsible for providing technical support to Medical Assistant staff in a clinic site or physician module to include training, assurance of consistency and standardization of procedures, management of day-to-day staff coverage arrangements to ensure excellent patient care, staff performance management, and to serve as a mentor to staff. The Clinical Lead is responsible for covering multiple positions and departments, as well as mentoring new and existing staff on clinical processes and procedures. This position will be responsible for review of new and existing staff documentation and charge documents for completion and accuracy. The individual will practice within the scope of a Medical Assistant and contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care.
This position is Full-Time, working varied shifts throughout the weekend including weekends and holidays on a rotation basis. Located at Scripps Clinic Carmel Valley, however you will also support the Scripps Clinic Rancho Bernardo.
* Certified and Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program pursuant to the Division of Allied Health Professionals.
* BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA).
* 3-5 years of experience in an outpatient setting as a Medical Assistant.
* Previous training experience and leadership skills.
* EPIC experience
* Experience working in Family Medicine
* Experience working in Pediatrics
