Family medicine providers at CHI St. Alexius Health treat most ailments and provide comprehensive health care for people of all ages - from newborns to seniors. They deliver a range of acute, chronic and preventive medical care services.
In addition to diagnosing and treating illness, family medicine physicians also provide preventative care, including routine checkups, health-risk assessments, sports physicals, immunization and screening tests, and personalized counseling on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
RESPONSIBILITIESUNDER THE SUPERVISION OF A REGISTERED NURSE OR PHYSICIAN, LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE FUNCTIONS AS A VITAL MEMBER OF THE HEALTHCARE TEAM WHO CONTRIBUTES TO THE SUCCESS OF THE PRACTICE BY DEMONSTRATING CUSTOMER/PATIENT FOCUS, EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION, PROFESSIONALISM, AND TEAMWORK. UTILIZES THE NURSING PROCESS TO ASSESS, PLAN, IMPLEMENT, AND EVALUATE COMPREHENSIVE CARE PROVIDED TO SELECTED PATIENT POPULATIONS AND THEIR FAMILIES.
* Must be a graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing program.
* Must have current/valid Licensed Practical Nurse licensure from the North Dakota (ND) state licensing board, or compact license eligible to practice in ND.
* Must have current healthcare provider CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
* 1 year experience in a clinic or hospital nursing setting required.
