Under thengeneral supervision of the Medical Director, Unit Manager, or designee the CNnIII is a professional Registered Nurse who assumes responsibility andnaccountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and providesncare to these patients using the nursing process in accordance with thenstandards of professional nursing practice in the Cardiac Cath Lab. The clinical nurse performs in thenprofessional role as described by the American Nurses Association (ANA);nengaging in activities related to ethics, education, evidence-based practicenand research, quality improvement, leadership, collaboration, professionalnpractice evaluation , resources utilization, environmental health, and patientnadvocacy as appropriate to clinical nursing practice.

BSN or MSN. CA RN license,
Knowledge and skill of hemodynamic monitoring, knowledge of arterial waveforms, right heart pressure waveforms required.
Knowledge of equipment utilized, including but not, limited to wires, diagnostic catheters, guiding catheters, and angioplasty balloons, stents, for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, in addition to other equipment used for interventional radiology procedures.
Ability to identify common anatomy and pathophysiology including cardiopulmonary hemodynamics and cardiac rhythms.
Skill and ability to respond speedily and accurately with patient needs and physician directions.
Ability to carry and lift up to 35 lbs and wear 25 lbs lead apron.
Skill in operating physiologic monitoring, recording and capnography equipment and computer skill sets, oxygen tanks, wall suction, defibrillator, custom procedure trays, infusion pumps, all POCT machines, oxygen saturation machine.
Skill and ability to recognize signs and symptoms of patient distress.
Skill and ability to intervene when patient is distressed.
Ability to read, interpret, apply and/or follow physician orders, policies, procedures or written and verbal instructions.
Skill in BCLS, ACLS and PALS as required for age group.
Take call as required by department. With a response time of 30 minutes for call back cases.
Skill in organizing and prioritizing.
Ability to be flexible, to float, take additional assignments when necessary throughout all areas of Radiology and Cardiology services including current and future clinics and hospitals.
Skill and knowledge of operating cardiac output computer, oxygen suction, defibrillator IABP, rotablator, DCI, stents, balloon, Angiojet, diagnostic and interventional wires, catheters, IVUS, ventricular assist devices, Ekkos and other devices as approved by FDA.
Must have 2 years or greaternof CTICU/Coronary Care ICU experience with strong understanding of hemodynamicsnor Cath Lab or IR experience.
This position will cross trainnto Interventional Radiology.
Position is a ten hournposition with varying start time and days worked M-F varying days based onndepartment needs.
