Applying the My Macy's localization strategy, you'll identify, procure, and assort products that are right for each market, and create connections that surprise and delight our customer at every turn.Overview:The Associate Integrated Merchant, Leased, is responsible for driving licensed sales across both channels by ensuring Macy's and leased partner strategy align for growth. Associate will develop omnichannel long-range targets and strategic initiatives, translating these goals into actionable seasonal strategies and implementation efforts. Associate will lead digital merchandising efforts, working with leased partners, marketing, site merchandising, and tech team to prioritize customer needs and drive increased traffic and conversion. Perform other duties as assigned.Essential Functions:* Manages development of long-range financial targets, key strategic initiatives by brand partner, and key milestones for implementation with a focus on driving growth in existing business channels. Targets and initiatives should stretch the limits of what's possible for both Macy's and our partners and be heavily informed by data.* Translates long-range vision and priorities into actionable seasonal strategies with key deliverables and timelines for implementation on a rolling 12-month horizon. Coordinates kick off of projects and ensures buy-in from all stakeholders.* Collaborate with marketing, site merchandising, and leased partner to develop 360 marketing plan to fuel the business through both new and proven tactics. Advocate for Leased partner placement within companywide campaigns and exposures.* Owns growth in traffic, conversion and sales on macys.com, working with brand partners and key internal teams to identify and prioritize assortment, pricing, site merchandising, marketing, and technical needs for continued growth. Develops seasonal action plans for implementation.* Oversees key seasonal merchandising objectives, acting as the overall project manager for group to keep key initiatives on track for timely and effective implementation.* Works closely with brand partners and internal stakeholders to manage in-season digital experience and results. Maintains deep understanding of critical KPIs and leverages data to drive outsized impact on results. Acts with agility to course correct when needed or double down on successful approaches.* Identifies key data needs to support both existing channel growth and new business sizing. Works closely with Analytics team to acquire and interpret data into actionable plan.* Concepts and socializes changes to business models to accommodate growth across all door types and online. Works with Operations team on vetting and implementation.* Identifies need for critical new on-going and ad hoc reporting and works with teams to concept and deliver. Also identifies extraneous or lightly used reports for elimination or reduction in frequency.* Develop deep understanding of Macy's overall location assortment strategies, business trends and by regions and climate zone, major FOB assortment strategies that impact leased business.* Work closely with lease partner counterparts to understand and influence by-store assortment plans to support overall business and promotional strategies, utilizing historical location/channel analysis to identify key opportunities - inclusive of regional, climate, and ethnicity opportunities.* Maintain regular schedule of communication with lease partner counterparts and attend meetings with Lease Merchants and lease partners to negotiate strategy/plans. Advocate for location distribution of brands, items, and make location recommendations for capital expenditure to improve shop capacity or customer experience.* Monitor and perform in-season and post-season location and channel analysis.* Serve as advocate for Field and Central Planning organization.* Know the customer by monitoring internal and external customer and market share data, including the performance of related retail businesses.* Champion adoption of localization, as applicable to each lease partner.* Develop self by attending and encouraging ongoing professional development and training.* Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.Qualifications:Education/Experience:* Bachelor's Degree.* 3+ years merchandising, buying, planning, digital merchandising, or other similar experience, with strong preference for candidate with strong track record across multiple competencies.Communication Skills:* Excellent listening, written, and oral communication skills.* Ability to communicate effectively with senior management of collaboration and lease partner companies and gain buy-in on new approaches and critical needs.Mathematical Skills:* Must have above average mathematical skills, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.Reasoning Ability:* Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound decisions.Physical Demands:* This position involves regular walking, standing, sitting for extended periods of time, hearing, and talking.* May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching.* May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and viewing computer monitor for extended periods of time.* Involves manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.* May involve moving or lifting items under 10 pounds.Other Skills:* Independent and entrepreneurial, with ability to prove value add to partner and influence partner strategies.* Strong analytical skills.* Ability to synthesize data and key business needs into actionable long-range and seasonal strategies.* Ability to multi-task and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.* Ability to develop, plan, present and execute strategies.* Advanced MS application proficiency, especially Excel, Powerpoint, and SharePoint.* Results-oriented and self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.* Experience leading cross-functional groups, delivering results with a very diverse group of contributors.* Initiates and builds relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.* Seeks out new experiences and knowledge, engaging others to gain perspective and examine current practices and biases in situations.* Identifies, initiates and builds trust-based relationships through candor and honesty.Work Hours:* Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.This job description is not all inclusive.
