**2446BR****Title:**Applications Engineer**Job Description:**SRI, a world leading not-for-profit research institute, is building a team that transitions world changing technologies from the lab and into products for both government and commercial markets. The Imaging Systems Engineer will be expected to work closely with both the internal design team in the bring-up of new products as well as the customers to solve their problems and support their product development.This position reports to the Vice President of Product Line Management within Product Transitions. The Product Transition team is a part of the Integrated Systems and Solutions Division, one of five SRI divisions. The goal of the newly formed Product Transition effort is to grow such that it becomes a stand-alone division of SRI, eventually transitioning to a fully owned, for profit subsidiary. The individual will play a pivotal role working collaboratively with the design team and customers.Key Responsibilities Include:+ Listening to customers, understanding the customers' challenges to solve end user problems+ Performing compelling image sensor technology and product demonstrations+ Supporting customers' product development for the design-in of SRI image sensors - hands on+ Solving customer integration issues such as CMOS register settings and start-up scripts+ Teaching and communicating the advantages of next generation imaging technologies+ Defining and creating sales collateral (e.g. images, videos) and solutions needed to go to market+ Collecting imaging applications requirements that will drive the product roadmap+ Bridging the disciplines of design and product with SRI and their customers+ Assisting in camera system development (hardware, software, optics)**Auto req ID:**2446BR**Location(s):**Menlo Park, CA, Princeton, NJ**Other Requirements:**--U.S. Citizenship required.**Employment Status:**Full Time**Qualifications:**+ BS degree in STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience related fields+ High energy and self-driven with an ability to solve complex problems efficiently+ Demonstrated positive customer facing skills and follow-up+ Superb communications skills in the written, verbal and presentation mediums+ Familiarity with electronics, imagers, optical components and camera assemblies+ System level programming experience+ Curious mind, practical mindset.
