The Associate Specialist in Manufacturing Engineering comprehends and performs assigned manual/automated production equipment maintenance and troubleshooting tasks according to established standard operating procedures. Performs routine equipment/system repair, system/equipment installation & preventive maintenance. May work from sketches, drawings and equipment/system manuals.
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all production equipment to schedule, per Standard Operating Procedures and as required.
Adhere to and accurately complete all production-related documentation.
Comply with all company and regional policies including: Safety Program, Hazard Communication Program, Lock Out Tag Out program & Work Safety Procedures.
Perform and assist with machine set ups.
Trouble-shoot and resolve equipment failure.
Maintain accurate inventory levels of spare parts and supplies.
Completion of preventive maintenance records and other check forms.
High School diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of related work experience.
Knowledge of general and detailed job tasks; limited supervision required.
Able to use general/automated laboratory equipment.
Familiarity with computers and basic MS Office applications.
Able to plan the use of equipment, materials and personal time efficiently.
Able to complete production-related documentation accurately.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
May require work with potentially biohazardous and/or chemically hazardous materials.
Work safely and effectively in a team environment.
Organization and attention to detail.
Able to communicate issues and problems to supervisors.
The work environment is fast-paced and involves the ability to quickly change priorities and multi-task while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Does not supervise employees.
No travel required.
