The Registered Professional Nurse at West Hills Hospital & Medical Center assumes responsibility for providing patient care and/or directing patient care by utilizing initiative and independent judgement. He/she adheres to the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing care rendered. These responsibilities are performed with a high degree of confidentiality and demonstrate effective patient/customer relations. Assumes responsibilities for general Cardiovascular, non-technical duties such as clerical, transcription, filing, etc.
* GRADUATE OF AN ACCREDITED SCHOOL OF NURSING WITH A CURRENT REGISTERED NURSE LICENSURE IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
* BCLS AND ACLS CERTIFIED.
* BASIC ARRHYTHMIA CERTIFICATE.
* IV THERAPY CERTIFICATE.
* Participation in courses, workshops and seminars relating to critical care subjects.
* Proficient in hemodynamic monitoring.
* Proficient in cardiac arrhythmias.
* Ability to make quick decisions and exercise good judgement.
* Minimum of one-year acute hospital experience and one year critical care unit.
