GENERAL SUMMARY / OVERVIEW
The Center for Clinical Data Science (CCDS) aims to transform healthcare through cutting-edge data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. We combine a translational, product-focused, early-stage culture with the world-class researchers, physicians, and data/computing resources at Harvard-affiliated Massachusetts General and Brigham and Womens Hospitals, as well as the broader Partners HealthCare System. The Center for Clinical Data Science provides the perfect environment to focus on using analytics to effect tangible advancements in medicine.
Acting under the supervision of the Sr. Manager of Clinical Data, with a second reporting line to the Head of PMO, the Clinical Data Project Manager is responsible for assisting in managing, monitoring and organizing the CCDSs Clinical Data operations and project portfolio for CCDS. The Project Manager will also have a dotted reported line to a Head of PMO at the CCDS.
The CCDS is involved in an exciting undertaking by Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Brigham and Womans Hospital, that aims to transform healthcare through data science, specifically via the use of machine learning and deep learning approaches. The Clinical Data Project Manager will be supporting the CCDS data operations and the AI Contract Research Organization (CRO) services.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage day-to-day activities for the CCDS data operations and AI CRO services
Coordinate personnel to quickly move data projects along and know when to escalate issues
Develop, maintain and adhere to project management tools, processes and methodologies
Develop and track study timelines, budget, and quality metrics
Lead the development of data project-related documents, including study protocols and plans, the project manager plays a significant role in the summarization and reporting of project progress
Manage external relationships with relevant AI vendors for data management as well as internal PHS researchers/labs, negotiate and manage associated contracts, and maintain support and communication with the Internal Review Board (IRB) processes
Collaborate with relevant societies (ACR, RSNA, etc.) and governance groups (FDA, CMS, clinical risk mitigation bodies, etc.) to ensure CCDS compliance with standards and regulations
Ensure effective project plans as related to data capture, maintenance, validation, and regulation are in place and operational for each project and work proactively with the team to set priorities in accordance with applicable project plans, CCDS standard operational procedures (SOPs), ICH/GCP guidelines and regulatory requirements
Coordinate CCDS Clinical Data resources to deploy ML models into the clinical workflow, manage iterative feedback into the QA/R&D teams
Work with CCDS senior clinical, scientific, and administrative management to identify and prioritize key solutions that will be developed and released each quarter

Bachelors degree in Sciences (e.g., Biology, Chemistry), Engineering, Computer Science, Business or related field
5 years of experience working in Clinical Development environment, and a minimum of 2 years of managerial experience in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or Medical Device industry is required
Experience in healthcare and exposure to the fields of data science and machine learning, strongly preferred
Demonstrable presentation and communication skills, preferably in a pitch or sales environment
Experience in leading cross-functional teams to meet goals and metrics
Experience using project management tracking systems (MS Project, VersionOne, Confluence, JIRA, Wrike, etc.)
Willing and capable of managing multiple projects and negotiating budgets, timelines and responsibilities
Strong experience with database software
Knowledge of technologies utilized within radiology informatics solutions (RIS, PACS and reporting software)
Experience managing complex system integrations using HL7, DICOM and other industry standards a strong plus
