At Haven Behavioral Health Hospital, we provide intensive inpatient therapies that address a wide range of mental health conditions and mood disorders for older adults. Our expert, customized treatment strategies offer relief from the debilitating symptoms of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, psychosis, and schizophrenia. After a comprehensive assessment, we ll develop a treatment plan that encourages active participation and focuses on our patient's strengths.

We are currently seeking a Per Diem Coder:

Responsibilities include:

Codes and classifies data sets according to ICD 10, CPT and DSM guidelines using the 3M Coding software package with the company's error rate not to exceed 5%. Query physicians when code assignments are not knowledge of guidelines and reimbursement reporting requirements.straightforward or documentation in the record is inadequate, ambiguous, or unclear for coding purposes. Maintains current knowledge of guidelines and reporting requirements.

OTHER DUTIES Participate in monthly conference calls Audit coding for other facilities as needed Educate facilities with respect to documentation trends identified Assist in the development or review of coding related policies and procedures, and other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION Must possess a Bachelor s or Associates degree in a related field of study or requisite relevant experience.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES Advanced coding training. CCS, CPC, CPC-H, RHIT required.

EXPERIENCE: Two years of inpatient coding and classification experience in a behavioral health/medical setting. Must demonstrate working knowledge in ICD 10, CPT and DSM.
