JOB OVERVIEW
The Contract Administration Manager manages business contract office including personnel administration. Counsels departments and negotiates and executes agreements with private sector entities and governmental agencies, to further organization business purposes. Provides broad range of services to organizational units related to non-research business agreements such as agreements for business alliances with governmental agencies, for-profit companies and non-profit organizations, agreements to license business intellectual property and copyrighted materials, and agreements to obtain non-common specialized goods and unique services for which there are limited providers.

The Contracts Administration Manager receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. Provides guidance to subordinates to achieve goals in accordance with established policies. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve goals results in additional costs and personnel, and serious delays in overall schedules.

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
Construction Contracts is part of UCSF Supply Chain Management (SCM). We provide contracting and sourcing support for Campus Real Estate and Facilities. The Construction Contracts Team handles all construction related contracts and sourcing as defined by the California Public Contracting Code regulations.

Required Qualifications: Bacheloru0027s degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training and five to seven years in the field of contract administration and / or law in a complex university / college environment or large commercial and / or institutional setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Successful experience managing multiple ongoing projects in a fast paced environment
Previous supervisory experience
Contract automation or business system experience
Understanding of Public Contract Code in the State of California is essential
Strong knowledge and skills in all aspects of contract administration, including all applicable laws, rules, regulations, guidelines and policies
Strong knowledge and skills in personnel administration, including selection, training, leadership, mentoring, evaluation, and as required taking corrective action
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including excellent ability to deal with broad and diverse constituencies using strong customer service orientation and skills
Strong negotiation, persuasion and political acumen skills
Solid problem avoidance, recognition and resolution skills
Contract automation or business system experience
Experience in analyzing and structuring workflow within a highly-functioning legal services or contracts unit
Experience in documenting and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures
Experience with construction facilities and real estate contracts
Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite and Outlook
Demonstrated technical strategic planning and organizational skills
Ability to analyze procedures and operations, determine solutions, and coordinate intricate work materials
Ability to analyze information processing needs and recommend solutions
Demonstrated organizational skills meet deadlines ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with integrated Project Delivery and Lean Construction concepts desirable
Thorough knowledge of the organization including its infrastructure, goals, objectives, achievements, rules, regulations and policies
Experience with the use and maintenance of on-line contract generation software and construction-related business system is strongly preferred
