Suncoast Behavioral Health Center is a private, acute inpatient psychiatric facility designed to provide quality services in a supportive environment to children, adolescents and adults.
The Hospital is looking for a Cook. The overall functions of this position are to prepare and serve regular and special diets to residents and employees under the supervision of the Dietary Manager. Maintains a clean environment. Flexible hours. Must be patient and tolerant toward staff, residents and patient family members.

Education: High school graduate or equivalency required. Trade or vocational school training preferred.
Experience: One (1) year experience in a health care facility preferred.
Skills: Must be familiar with inventorying, cooking by recipes, quantity cooking and following written procedures. Food handling and sanitation.
Physical Requirements: Good physical health and good mental attitude is essential. Stands and walks most of the day. Handles and manipulates equipment. Stoops and reaches for equipment lift and carries
food and kitchen equipment. Tastes and smells food to determine quality.
Must be able to pass a Level 2 Background Screening and Pre-employment Drug Test.
