Joint Commission has awarded us the advanced primary stroke care center, acute myocardial infarction, joint replacement, and Top Performer on Key Quality Measures. Additionally, we've been awarded the Gold Seal of Approval from The Joint Commission for excellence in total hip and knee programs.
Our Director of Critical Care Nursing is over Our ICU and PCU. Below are some of the key responsibilities for the Director of Critical Care at John Randolph Medical Center.
Coordinates the financial and clinical operations of assigned area(s) of responsibility and recommends sufficient number of qualified competent persons to provide care. Participates in outside source selection for needed services.
Integrates department services with the hospital's primary function maintaining communication with medical and nursing staffs, Administration, patients, and their families/significant others. Coordinates and integrates services within department.
Develops and implements policies and procedures that guide and support provision of services and assures staff competency.
Continual assessment and improvement of the department's performance. Promotes the Quality Management program of the facility, maintaining appropriate quality control programs (where applicable).
Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies.
Assures that orientation, in-service training, and continuing education are provided for persons in the department.
Develops and participates in goals and objectives for assigned area(s) of responsibility.

Five (5) years current critical care nursing experience; two (2) years of management experience in critical care.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. A BSN in a health related field.
Registered Nurse - Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation.
BLS and ACLS (can be obtained within 6 months of hire)
