Under supervision of the office manager, the incumbent provides administrative support to department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Care Residency Program Director as well as other faculty as requested. The incumbent is responsible for assisting with academic functions including but not limited to calendar, travel, meetings, and special projects. Incumbent provides support for departmental education programs and projects. Incumbent manages daily clinical scheduling for residents. Incumbent serves as backup for the Residency Coordinator.
Hourly: $23.94 - $28.76
Proven ability to develop and run automated reports and tracking systems.
Effective oral and written communication skills in order to compose, proofread and edit memos, correspondence and other written documents.
Organizational skills to effectively coordinate multiple projects with conflicting deadlines.
Working knowledge of personal computers and proficiency to utilize standard software programs and information technology to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Skill to manage complex calendars and scheduling requests.
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively deal with all levels of staff, faculty, leadership and the community.
Demonstrated experience and ability to research and evaluate information in order to prepare reports and correspondence.
Skill and ability to handle large volume of projects/assignments with conflicting deadlines.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and manage sensitive and confidential issues.
Demonstrated experience in coordinating fellowship and/or residency programs.
Ability to develop slide presentations, use scanning, LCD projector and other wireless devices.
Experience working in an academic University environment.
Knowledge of UC academic appointment process.
Working knowledge of various University policies and procedures.
Occasional night and weekend duties.
