JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Responsibilities
The incumbent will perform the duties of anfaculty assistant for specific assigned department members, Chair s Assistant, CAO,nand CFO. In addition, the incumbent willnserve as backup to the Chair and Chair s Assistant and team members.
The administrative specialist performs asnfaculty assistant, and backup to the chair s office, independently setsnpriorities and completes on-going assignments and projects following prescribednUniversity and Departmental guidelines. Work may be reviewed at any time asnneeded. Qualifications
Ability to manage short-term and long-termnprojects and committees. Ability to read and interpret documents toninclude University policies and procedures and Departmental manuals, memos,npolicies, and procedures. Demonstrated working knowledge and skill innusing various computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook email,nOutlook calendar programs, and basic database software. Skill in making travel arrangements includingnknowledge of travel modes, reservations techniques, air and groundntransportation and time zone changes. Ability to prioritize assignments from multiplenfaculty members to complete work in a timely manner under the pressure ofndeadlines, changes in assignments and competing requirements. Ability to compose routine and complex draftsnfrom verbal instructions and/or discussion of business and medicalncorrespondence and memos. Ability to proofread documents for completenessnand content. Ability to occasionally vary work hours or worknweekends to meet Department or Program requirements.
