In 2016, Martin Engineering expanded our mission to provide expertise and solutions that work by creating the Mr. Blade program and the new position of a Field Service & Sales Representative. This unique position serves in the industrial conveyor and bulk materials handling field.

The Field Service & Sales Representative, also referred to as Mr. Blade, is responsible for the delivery, service and maintenance of Martin conveyor wear components and Martin bulk handling products on assigned service routes within a growing territory. The Field Service & Sales Representative will work closely with the Business Development Manager and sales staff to not only identify sales opportunities within the service route but also to generate sales as well. This service route will require extensive daily travel in the Southeast Texas & Louisiana area.
+ Completing daily routes that include the delivery and installation of Martin products in the Mining Industry.
+ Providing hands-on servicing of Martin conveyor products at all assigned customer sites.
+ Delivering, maintaining, and servicing Martin products as assigned.
+ Identifying and generating additional sales opportunities at customer sites.
+ Maintaining detailed documentation of transactions and servicing performed during routes.
+ Provides daily sales transactions and documents to Business Development Manager.
+ Ensures the warehouse and vehicle are properly stocked with inventory at all times.
+ Operates vehicle in a safe manner following all traffic laws and abiding by Martin?s Fleet Policy.
+ Ability to work outdoors, in the elements, for extended periods of time.
+ Ability to function as a productive member of a team without immediate supervision.
+ Ability to interact with and build rapport with customers both current and future.
+ Ability to drive a vehicle, safely, for extended periods of time.
+ Ability to lift and carry 40lbs and heavier, repetitively, throughout the workday.
+ Ability to climb and descend stairs and inclined walkways for extended periods of time.
Education, Experience & Training:
+ High school diploma or equivalent. Two-year technical or vocational degree preferred.
+ One or more years of job-related experience.
+ Previous sales experience preferred.
+ Must be at least 21 years of age.
+ Driver qualifications must be met where specified based upon position requirements and established guidelines including Federal DOT regulations.
