Aiken Regional Medical Centers
Aiken Regional Medical Centers, located in Aiken, South Carolina, is a 273-bed acute care facility providing quality healthcare to the residents of Aiken and surrounding communities. Aiken Regional Medical Centers has been ranked a top hospital in South Carolina by the Carolina Center for Medical Excellence for its treatment of heart attack, heart failure and pneumonia. Services provided at the hospital include emergency medical care, orthopedic surgeries, maternity, and behavioral health services.
This individual cleans and keeps the hospital environment in an orderly condition.
Essential Job Duties:
Cleans offices, patient rooms, offices, classrooms, common areas, lavatories, halls, food service areas and any other areas that may require attention.
Sweeps, mops, scrubs, polishes floors and vacuums hallways, stairs and office space.
Cleans light fixtures, ceilings and vents, walls, mattresses, furniture, windows and window coverings.
Will be required to properly and safely use cleaning chemicals per given standards
Empties trash and garbage containers
Shampoo and cleans carpets or buff and polish floors which will require the use of mechanical equipment
Changes sheets and replenish linens
Performs routine equipment maintenance and make minor repairs.
Moves furniture and sets-up tables and chairs.
Notifies supervisor concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
Applies all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work.
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education requirements: High School diploma or GED preferred.
Work experience requirements: Previous housekeeping experience a plus, preferably in a healthcare environment.
Required skills, knowledge and abilities: Must be able to use housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaner, buffers, battery operated equipment, mops and carpet equipment; Reading and Numerical competency; Customer service skills.
