American Greetings has opportunities available for a Reset Assembler. The assembler will work with a team on job sites located in retail locations to assemble, set up, and tear down greeting card fixtures. You will travel together in a company vehicle to the job site when the job site is out of the immediate area. Regular overnight work and/or travel throughout the project is required. This position is assigned exclusively to Special Projects with an estimated end date. Part-time, non-exempt position.
This job will be for overnight shifts, working 5 days a week on 3rd shift hours for the duration of this project. Anticipated project timeline is 3 to 6 months.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Execute fixture and product revisions per direction of the Installation Supervisor, Territory Sales Manager or Revision Lead.
On site fixture assembly
Correctly remove, store, and redisplay product
Follow Best Practice procedures in merchandising department
Remove and dispose of old product and fixtures
Unload freight and fixtures from truck
Ability to transport self to work site or designated meeting location.
Use small manual and powered hand tools.
Repair fixtures as directed.
Conform to American Greetings policies, procedures, and safety directives.
Follow store/chain guidelines as they affect the merchandising of the greeting card department and in matters of store security.
Complete assigned paperwork and administrative requirements correctly and on time.
Frequent overnight work and/or travel throughout Project.
Works exclusively for the Special Projects assigned by the Installation Supervisor, Territory Sales Manager or Revision Lead
Other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), preferred but not required
Required Length & Type of Experience:
The qualified candidate will have prior successful retail, merchandising and/or fixture experience.
Additional experience in assembly, building fixtures, using power tools, product control, reading and understanding plan-o-gram.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to use appropriate technology for position (i.e. phone, PC).
Outstanding interpersonal & relationship-building skills with peers, supervisors and customers.
Strong oral & written communication skills.
Ability to read & understand instructions (either written or oral).
Basic math skills to include the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Ability to read and understand department and stock control diagrams including merchandising bulletins.
Strong time-management and organizational skills.
Must have reliable transportation.
Physical requirements: lifting up to 60 lbs and maneuver boxes of higher weight with assistance, 5% standing, 95% walking, carrying, bending, stooping, driving.
Works primarily at retail locations provides their own transportation to store locations or to designated meeting location. May spend several hours travelling in a vehicle to work locations. Overnight travel and hotel stays are required.
