Oversee the yield process of all food products for the weekly cycle. Accurately record stock levels. Resolve problems related to inventory, product quality, and yields. In coordination with Quality Control, ensure the incoming product meets or exceeds the recipes quality specifications; maintain proper food safety, particularly storage and handling. Accurately cycle count of inventory locations. Ensure FIFO or other rotational systems are implemented and followed accordingly. Outside cold storage management across the US including negotiating rates, monitoring inventory in each location, etc. Control aged inventory. Identifying potential problem inventory. Create strategies for moving older inventory. Clearly communicate all significant inventory changes to Sr. Management. Minimize shrinkage/spoilage of perishable products. Monitor waste and report to the Procurement team what can be salvaged or returned for credit; separate and designate items to be returned to suppliers.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in business or related field; or equivalent work experience 5+ years of experience as an Inventory Control Manager 10+ years in an inventory control role Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor and develop staff Excellent computer skills and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of detail and accuracy A high degree of organization and ability to ensure deadlines are met by the department Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance by staff Understand and abide by all safety regulations as well as policies and procedure set forth by Thomas Foods International, USAInterested in hearing more?
