SUMMARY:
The SharePoint Engineer delivers and maintains SharePoint/web based applications by providing technical expertise, leadership, and execution throughout the project including analysis, design, development, testing, and release.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designs, develops, troubleshoots, debugs, and implements software code for web based applications and sites
Integrates web applications with other enterprise systems
Drafts and staffs compliance requirements needed to secure, develop, and edit the applicable System Security Authorization Agreement (SSAA), required to obtain an Interim Authority to Operate (IATO) and subsequent Authority to Operate (ATO).
Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
Three (3) years of extensive professional experience as a Software
Experience developing in a .NET environment
Solid understanding of MOSS 2007 architecture
Proficient in C+, SharePoint 2007 and .NET Framework
Strong knowledge of web development (XHTML, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, DOM, XML, and XSLT)
Experience with .NET 3.0 technologies including WCF, WPF, WF and SharePoint 2007 development
Experience with Agile development practices
Ability to manage multiple tasks, work in a team environment, understand/be responsive to project needs, and work under tight deadlines
Must have experience and working knowledge of the following: customized SharePoint Solutions, SharePoint Development, SharePoint Portal Server 2007, SharePoint Collaboration, SharePoint Web Part Solutions, SharePoint Application, SharePoint Enterprise Search, SharePoint Consulting, SharePoint Migration, SharePoint Content and Workflow Management, and SharePoint BDC (Business Data Catalog)
Proficient with computer based applications (MS Office Suites, Internet, Lotus Notes and/or MS Outlook) and with Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, governmental employees and officials, and the general public
Detail-oriented and organized
