JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Description
Supervises, coordinates, schedules, and reviews the activities of the maintenance technicians.
Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment, using electronic and electrical equipment.
Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variances with supervisors or other maintenance technicians to diagnose problem or repair machine.
Coordinate and order the necessary supplies for maintenance and preventive maintenance activities.
Collect and analyze performance data to initiate plans for improvement to meet plant measurable.
Performs the essential functions of the maintenance technician as required.
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product, and suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, and work crew.
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Maintains time and production records, including all appropriate paperwork and tracking.
Authorized to lock out machines for health and safety.
Assess the current skills, abilities, and knowledge of our current maintenance employees; create a gap analysis and a written training plan with timeline and assures that training requirements for each maintenance employee is scheduled and completed in a timely manner
Effectively communicate maintenance needs, action plans, and maintenance activities to the supervisor and/or Plant Mgr.
Provide written plans of maintenance projects to be completed including beginning dates, dates of significant activities, and projected completion dates.
Provide written follow up and evaluations of maintenance activities.
Trains new technicians.
Purchases equipment for maintenance room use and job ease.
Maintains excellent housekeeping habits.
Performs other essential functio
Prefer high school diploma or equivalent. Four to ten years of trade school, vocational education, work experience, or apprenticeship. Supervisory experience.
