Aon is looking for a Health and Benefits Financial Assistant Vice President

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting Health in our Southern Region, with a preference toward sitting in one of our North Carolina offices. As a Health and Benefits Financial Assistant Vice President, you will report directly to the Local Practice Leader.

Your impact as a Health and Benefits Financial Assistant Vice President

Job Responsibilities:

* Regularly attend client meetings

* Leads financial portion of and strategic discussions in client meetings

* Leads financial team in completing underwriting and budgetary client needs

* Explains financial methodology and results to clients; as well as potential plan alternatives

* Maintain and manage open items lists to ensure you are providing each client with the agreed upon work

* Work follow up items assigned to you to resolution

* Conduct ad-hoc projects as needed using appropriate resources (AMS modeling, Stop Loss modeling, plan changes with Actuarial Value model, etc.)

* Be responsible for all financial activities on client team

* Present financial marketing results to client

* Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports for clients

* Review financial caveats, deviations and other notes in proposals, add appropriate notes to the client RFP results presentation

* Negotiate with carriers as directed on rates, designs and plan provisions

* Assist in presenting results to client

* Develop executive summary on all key financial components of marketing and provide recommendations

* Provide financial modeling as needed on opportunity

* Ensure all commissions have been disclosed and verified for each vendor

* Provide cost estimates for PCORI fees to all self-funded clients at the applicable time

* Collect and submit needed financial data for bench-marking projects using HVI and Greater Insight

* Effectively lead financial client teams, share client background and goals, measure results, share ideas, identify process improvements, provide timely and regular coaching and feedback to team members

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

Required Experience:

* Eight plus of years health and benefits underwriting experience, preferably in a consulting environment.

* Strong proficiency in self-insured and fully insured funding arrangements

* Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Office

* Strong project management experience

* Client consulting experience

* Self-starter who can work well with minimal supervision


* Bachelor s Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience

* License or Certificate Requirements:

* Appropriate Insurance License/Life and Health or willingness to obtain license as soon as possible
