Washington Trust is seeking an experienced loan closing professional to lead the Retail Loan Closing function and team. The Mortgage Loan Closing Manager has direct supervision of the Bank s team of Closers. This position is responsible for ensuring timely closings of mortgages in accordance with company policies and procedures. In addition, the Manager will need to stay current with changing regulations and investor requirements, update department policies and procedures, and ensure the team is well trained.
Supervise the Closing staff; provide coaching and feedback to improve the flow, cycle time, product knowledge/condition requirements, and problem resolution.
Responsible for hiring, development, and performance management of Closing.
Review Closing Disclosure statements for accuracy.
Coordinate loan closing, prepare residential closing documents, monitor rate lock closings, and review title rundowns/insurance binders.
This position requires a minimum of 5 years previous experience in mortgage closings with experience with loan origination systems such as Encompass.
In addition, a minimum of 3 years experience managing others is required including planning and organizing daily workflow to meet deadlines, scheduling, and process control and efficiency.
A high school diploma or GED is required with college coursework or degree highly desired.
This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal including conflict resolution skills.
Strong PC skills such as with MS Word and Excel are also required.
This position is located in Westerly, RI and Warwick, RI; it is expected that the Mortgage Loan Closing Manager will be splitting their time between both locations
