JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY SUMMARY:
The ServiceNow Developer, a member DevOps Team, performs all aspects of the systems development life cycle to include application development, tier 2/3 applications support, and systems administration of large-scale enterprise applications; supports the ServiceNow application.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviews current systems and presents ideas for system improvements, including work estimates
Develops design specifications, using OOD techniques, for components or subsystems within modest to large Web Applications
Writes clean, well-documented code
Engages in effective unit and system testing
Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements
Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms
Works closely with analysts, designers and staff
Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools
Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements
Acts as team leader on projects
Participates in development of software user manuals and technical reports
Other duties as assigned
Must be a US Citizen
Ability to obtain DHS EOD suitability or Current DHS EOD preferred.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Important to have:
Minimum three (3) years of experience performing software development using the ServiceNow application
Experience with full stack Java web development, including the following technologies: Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Junit, jmeter, SQL, Maven/Gradle and Angular
Associate Degree in IT related field, Bachelor Degree Preferred.
Some experience with iterative and incremental engineering approaches and Agile Methodologies.
Proficiency with Security Protocols
Nice to have:
Experience with DHS development processes
Database programming including SQL Queries, read, writes and updates
Experience with IDEs like Eclipse, Netbeans, IntelliJ, Visual Studio, etc.
Experience in using GIT and subversion as source code repository
Software frameworks .Net, Spring, Hibernate
The selected candidates for this position must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated government background investigation. This background investigation requires U.S. citizenship and will include an investigation of your financial, education, employment, medical, residence, and personal records. The cost of this investigation will be paid by TWD & Associates.
