Washington Trust is seeking an experienced Loan Officer Assistant in our Burlington, MA location. This position will support one of our most successful Mortgage Loan Officers and will work closely with a dedicated Processor to ensure mortgage loans are completed successfully and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.



Prepare, review and send initial Loan Disclosures to the borrower.

Gather and analyze credit documentation to ensure the loan file is prepared for

Order credit report and/or other requested third party services.

Review executed client disclosures.

Input the loan application into the loan origination software and review for

Submit lock requests on behalf of the Loan Officer through the loan origination

Run loans through DU or LP for approval and review the AUS for loan requirements.

Request and follow up on required documentation from our loan clients.

Prepare and maintain mortgage loan files.

Preforms various administrative tasks required to support the loan officer.



High school diploma or GED required.

2 years of relevant experience in the mortgage industry preferred.

Previous experience with one or more bank/mortgage industry Loan Origination Systems;
Encompass preferred.

Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills. Prior experience with CRM systems a plus.

Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
