Position Summary
This position will support internal/external facility maintenance at our 182,000 ft. headquarters. Primary responsibilities as a custodian in a manufacturing environment will provide ongoing general labor services for landscaping maintenance with cleaning/custodian work in production and office areas. Secondary responsibilities would include assisting with or completing facility, fleet, or equipment repair work, which includes preventative maintenance and unplanned repairs as needed.

High School diploma or GED required.
2-3 years experience working in an industrial setting for landscaping/grounds maintenance or custodial work.
Ability to safely work with various types of landscaping, cleaning, and maintenance tools/equipment.
Able to use/knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely with proper use of (PPE) Personal Protective Equipment.
Able to communicate effectively with both verbal and written information.
Able to follow instruction with effective time management skills, and meticulous detail to end result.
Able to demonstrate good judgment with willingness to learn.
Knowledge, experience, and ability in using a multitude of hand/power tools and equipment; related to janitorial, facility maintenance and landscaping.
Clean DMV record and valid driver license required to be a company driver.
Must be eligible to work in U.S without Visa sponsorship.


Perform all duties as assigned and adheres to Tri Tool s Core Values.
Responsible for maintaining the grounds and building to a high standard, work in a safe and professional manner at all times, and assist with maintenance department tasks as needed.
Landscaping Responsibilities; may consist of but not limited to mowing, trimming, digging water lines, sprinkler repairs.
Production/Shop Responsibilities; empty refuse, clean rest-rooms with various approved chemicals; re-stock cleaning supplies as needed. Sweep shop area and empty chip containers; clean windows; operate floor cleaning equipment.
Office/Public Area Responsibilities; vacuuming, sweeping, empty refuse from office areas,
Facility/Fleet Responsibilities; may assist with or coordinate maintenance of facility, equipment, or company vehicles as needed
Assist with production equipment to include check/replace lubrication, air filters and machine coolant levels.
Manages daily recycling materials and hazardous waste.
Maintains logs, follows procedures, directions, and SDS guidelines to ensure safety.
Maintain facilities equipment as required toilets, urinals, sinks and traps, roof and swamp coolers.
Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with State, Federal, and Company safety regulations.
Works with team to ensure clean and maintained offices, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, stairways, parking lots, landscape, and other work areas.
Performs other work in related duties as assigned to ensure a highly maintained and safe facility.
Cross train to other departments as needed to support efficient production


The work environment includes office space, exterior of facilities, and a warehouse/production environment. The noise level is mild in the office and moderate to loud in the various areas of production and facility. The warehouse is climate controlled; the temperature fluctuates with the seasons. Exterior work areas include; landscape, parking lot, outdoor storage, shipping/receiving dock, and flat rooftop. Exterior environment is consistent with seasonal weather conditions of the local area. Areas of the facility require use of Personal Protective Equipment.


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds without assistance; Lifting/Moving anything over 50 pounds must be assisted. Must be able to wear safety equipment as required for personal protection.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; stoop, squat, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to safely climb ladders, work on roof, use hand tools, power tools, large equipment, and maintenance materials. Must be able to use office equipment such as computers, multi-line phones, scanners, copiers, and paper cutters.
