You will work within a multi-functional team to initiate, plan, organize and execute complex projects for mobile platforms while working to demanding timelines. You will help to define program schedules, drive the day-to-day execution across multiple functional teams, apply risk management as necessary and, and lead projects through to completion to ensure deadlines and requirements are met to deliver a software release on time with the expected functional and quality criteria.


* Ownership and oversight of assigned projects

* Apply a customer-focused view to translate business needs into a system level solution and define a lowest-risk path to production

* Lead the definition of project scope and objectives involving all relevant partners and ensuring technical feasibility

* Lead in-depth planning and execution tracking of funded projects and other R&D activities

* Create and maintain product development schedule with well-defined milestones

* Track program schedules, technical issues, and negotiate priorities against project plans to ensure key internal and external deliverables are met

* Resolve risks, develop mitigation strategies and communicate impacts

* Provide effective communication regarding status, issues, objectives, dependencies, risks and plans to management, product development teams and customers

* Oversee integration of software from multiple organizations

* Lead and drive internal multi-functional teams to meet program deliverables and quality criteria according to program milestones

* Support and drive continuous improvement to an established product development process

Required Skills and Qualifications

* Bachelor s or Master s in CS or EE with 5+ years as a product development program manager within the semiconductor industry

* Prior experience directly managing complex technical projects working with software engineering and quality assurance teams

* Experience leading numerous parallel software development projects with key intercepts across multiple silicon development programs and driving priorities and trade-off decisions in coordination with the appropriate parties

* A strong software development background, with experience in development and product delivery for one or more of the following environments: Android, Linux, embedded firmware, drivers, GUI/applications, or software tools for mobile platforms

* Experience leading geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups

* Leadership skills along with excellent communication, organizational and people skills and able to work across functional groups

* Hands-on experience with developing and reporting on metrics for software development, test execution, bugs, issues, risks, and other aspects of project and program management

* Outgoing, highly organized, persistent and tenacious, with the ability to influence without authority

* Proficient with project/program management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, agile framework and bug tracking applications

* Proficient with Microsoft tools including Microsoft Project (ideally 2003/2007), Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel and Power Point)

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

* Knowledge of project management methodology. PMP, APM, Prince2

* Knowledge of software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.). SCRUM, Scaled Agile (SAFe) certification

* Experience with software product development cycles (concept to production).

* CPM certification (or equivalent)
