Job Summary:
Product Manager possessing proven business acumen and technical/technology expertise to join our growing Product team. Product Manager works on programs and initiatives for Crossmatch Commercial Biometric Identity System Business Unit with responsibilities for all aspects of Biometric Hardware products with a special focus on IoT systems throughout the entire product lifecycle including but not limited to, annual financial plan, research and development, product development, product release, promotion, target markets, applications, competition, pricing, inventory, service, presale support, after-sale support, sales channel training and support staff training.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):
* Develop product requirement documents and define key features for current and future hardware products by working with multiple internal Vertical Market Manager/ Engineering groups/Solution, external customers and developing a deep understanding of biometric industry trends.
* Weigh trade-offs of cost, features, time to market and develop return of investment (ROI) analysis and present to upper management.
* Develop business strategies, including working with reference design group to develop reference design offerings to provide a competitive product in the market.
* Direct interface with customers to further product lifetime, and managing existing product issues/strategies from business and high level technical aspects. The successful candidate will have strong organizational, communication and negotiation skills and will be a self-starter.
* Creates a “whole product” mentality by building processes and materials that ensure the proper education of sales teams, customers and partners during product changes or launches
* Implements product profitability metrics that help the company determine the proper allocation of engineering and sales resources to maximize profitability and opportunity
* Articulates core value proposition and competitive advantage to the market by working with marketing to build compelling sales and marketing presentations that properly position the products

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Detail oriented, with the ability to put details into big picture perspective.
* Excellent management and communication skills from engineering to Exec levels.
* Proven ability to manage ambiguous situations and work collaboratively with internal and external partners to develop solutions to address current and future market opportunities
* Strong organizational skills.
* Experience in semiconductor industry in a product management, product marketing or equivalent role.
* Industrial Networking/IoT experience and/or biometrics will be a plus.
* Strong understanding of the ARM architecture, embedded Linux, and security solutions
* Deep knowledgeable of product development lifecycle management (Agile/Scrum)
Language skills: Proficient reading, writing and speaking English


Qualifications, Education & Experience:
* Undergraduate degree in computer science or engineering and a graduate degree in a technical or business field with 5-10 year of experience working in a technical product organization
* Experience in semiconductor industry in a product management, product marketing or equivalent role.
* Industrial Networking/IoT experience and/or biometrics will be a plus.
* Strong understanding of the ARM architecture, embedded Linux, and security solutions
* Deep knowledgeable of product development lifecycle management (Agile/Scrum)
* Experience working with customers and ecosystem to develop insightful business recommendations and a compelling product and market vision.
* Preferred qualifications
* Previous experience in a hardware engineering role and biometrics
* MBA or advanced technical degree, and specific domain knowledge in Biometric
* Aggressive, self-starter. He/She makes things happen not the other way around.
* Proven success in defining and launching products and/or reference designs.



Travel Requirement:
* Occasional overnight travel as required; should not exceed 20% of the time

Working Conditions:
* General office environment. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.

Physical Demands:
* Office environment where the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. Some walking, standing, bending, reaching, and carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts; driving an automobile, etc. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and other office equipment.
