JOB DESCRIPTION

Crain Communications is currently seeking a Financial, Planning & Analysis Intern to assist with Budget, Forecasting and Analytics. This position will report to the Financial, Planning & Analysis Manager and will be located in our downtown Detroit location.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, have an upbeat attitude and must be a team player. This role will require you to work at least 20 hrs per week and is tentatively expected to last throughout the fall semester, however the length may be extended. This role will also provide some flexibility to accommodate class schedules.

Responsibilities

* Assist FP&A Team with Budget, Forecast and Analytics

* Work on data entry and reporting

* Complete month end tasks, as applicable

* Work with team on ad hoc requests from Management

Basic Qualifications

* Pursing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field

* Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (high level of proficiency in Excel)

* Incredible attention to detail

* Ability to stay organized and on track

* Effective written and verbal communication skills

Preferences

* Fundamental understanding of P&L and budgets

* Excellent presentation skills

* Ability to successfully pass an excel test
