Job Description

Ballard Spahr LLP is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to provide heavy document processing and light administrative support to lawyers in the Real Estate practice group in our Baltimore office. The selected candidate will process loan closing documents using MSWord and Adobe/Nuance software; organize real estate transaction documents and closing binders for delivery to the client; and assist with post-closing follow-up.

Required Skills

This document intensive position requires intermediate to advanced proficiency with MSWord, Adobe/Nuance, Excel and Outlook. A high level of motivation, strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities are needed for this fast-paced position. The qualified candidate will have good communication skills, be well organized, flexible and enjoy the challenges of supporting multiple attorneys while working collaboratively within an administrative team. Excellent spelling, grammar and proofreading skills, and the ability to work under specific time constraints restraints, are also required.

Required Experience

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years experience within a law firm or other professional services environment. Previous experience with loan closings a plus. Must be able to work overtime when needed.
