MANUFACTURING ASSOCIATE - CELL CULTURE
GAITHERSBURG, MD

Your Tasks:
As a member of the Lentigen Technology Manufacturing team, you will participate in all aspects of cell culture operations for the manufacture of lentiviral vectors. The unique duties of this position consist of media preparation, thawing and expansion of adherent and suspension cell cultures, set-up and operation of production bioreactors, harvesting and clarification of production cell cultures, sampling and storage of manufactured materials, and the submission of samples for quality testing. Furthermore, you will be responsible for maintaining GMP's by adhering to Standard Operating Procedures, safety guidelines, and good documentation practices. Overall, your exceptional ability to perform aseptic processes in a GMP clean room environment will contribute to the manufacture of lentiviral vectors, used for pre-clinical and clinical products, and propel Lentigen Technology's continued and growing success.

Requirements:
* B.S. in a life sciences degree from a four-year college or university
* Minimum of two years of experience in mammalian cell culture in a GMP setting and demonstrated exceptional aseptic technique; or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced, team setting
* Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This job is performed in a temperature controlled facility without exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures. Generally, this job is performed in a sanitized laboratory setting and routinely uses standard medical and research equipment such as centrifuges, biosafety cabinets, microscopes, incubators, pipettes and computers. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to blood, viruses, bacteria, body fluids and other tissues. Employees entering and leaving the laboratory must wear appropriate clothing and protective equipment such as scrubs, coveralls, masks, glasses and gloves. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
