Job Duties & Responsibilities:

* Handle correspondence and phone calls to maintain collection records on delinquent accounts

* Provide customer service regarding collections issues, process and review account adjustments, resolve discrepancies and short payments

* Responsible for monitoring and maintaining customer accounts

* Assist in collecting data to prepare and send out invoices to various customers for several divisions within the company

* Monitor, invoice and reconcile work orders assigned via customer's web-based software

* Utilize Excel to analyze and prepare month end accruals for specific customer accounts

* Code and process invoices with appropriate general ledger codes

* Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment

* Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies

* Assist with month-end reconciliations

* Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the accounting department

Skills & Qualifications:

* Ability to define and meet deadlines

* Attention to details - Organization skills a MUST

* Ability to work normal business hours

* Ability to work in a typical business environment

* Must be able to work effectively in cross-functional teams

* Strong interpersonal skills needed. Effective oral and written communication skills required

* Ability to document processes/procedures

* Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations

* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Required Education/Experience:

* High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred; one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

* Experience with Microsoft Office application

* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages
