PROJECT MANAGER I

The Project Manager I (PM) is expected to be a strong promoter of McClure s core values, vision, and mission and embody those values in all interactions with clients and team members. The PMI is responsible for managing and completing projects in the firm. The position will include the marketing or selling of a project, establishing fees, and making significant commitments to the client. Position differentiation from PMI and PMII is less responsibility for these functions including business development and contract negotiations.

The PM is responsible for meeting our corporate initiative of growing our people

* Committed to constantly improving their communication and management skills Mentor and coach his/her project team for professional development with a special focus on developing strong project engineers and engineering technicians

* Work closely with Team Leader to ensure he/she is informed of client needs and project issues

The PM is responsible for meeting our corporate initiative of clients for life

* OWNS a project and/or client as the person responsible for making sure any questions or concerns of the client are fully addressed in a timely manner

* Is the liaison between clients and the McClure team for project details, ensuring the client s needs are identified and met

* Understands our client s needs and constantly seeks opportunities to grow our business with existing

* Maintains constant contact with our clients to make sure our service exceeds our client s

* Works with Team Leader, Sales, and Marketing teams to develop new clients

The PM is responsible for meeting our corporate initiative of best service delivery

* Owns the project delivery process and is responsible for technical solutions

* Monitors projects and the client s satisfaction to ensure project schedules and budgets are met

* Responsible for making sure the McClure QA/QC process is followed on all projects they manage

The PM is responsible for meeting our corporate initiative of strong financial performance

* Monitors and controls McClure project costs, contract pricing, and billings to achieve project profitability goals

* Prepares project billing projections to assist the team leader in forecasting workload

* Prepares monthly bills, monitors A/R and ensures bills are collected



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

A Project Manager must possess the technical skills required to prepare effective solutions to meet the client s needs. A PM must also possess the soft skills needed to assess the client s satisfaction and have the ability to work with their project delivery team to deliver successful projects.

* Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills to lead a project delivery team

* Ability to represent McClure as the client liaison on specific projects

* Ability to work with their team leader to maintain existing client relationships

* Strong understanding of construction systems, techniques, and industry standards

* Knowledge of project design standards

* Ability to assist in the establishment of new design standards

* Ability to effectively present technical information in simple terms and respond to questions from various groups of people

* Ability to transfer important project information to clients and McClure project delivery team



EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

* Two Seven years of Project Management experience

* Specialized training in McClure s areas of expertise with the ability to deliver projects to keep our clients happy

* Proven experience with managing people to build a project delivery team Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or

* Professional Engineering License, MBA, or history of successfully managing a team

* Understanding of good project management procedures

* Strong understanding of Consulting Engineering Business Practices, risks, financial accountability and key financial ratios

* Ability to build new and maintaining existing client relationships
