WANTED: Forensic professionals with proven expertise in
a variety forensic disciplines to support AMERICAN
SYSTEMS in our continuing support of global forensics
and biometrics labs as part of the overall Identity
Management concept for the military services. For 15
tears, AMERICAN SYSTEMS has provides a variety of
forensic services to our DOD customers. As we continue
this support, we are seeking a skilled professional with
an Active Top-Secret clearance to join our team as a
Lead DNA Forensic Scientist near Atlanta, Georgia.
As a Lead DNA Forensic Scientist you will:
* Lead a team of forensics scientists to collect,
process, document, and analyze DNA from recovered
* Conduct high-quality, in-theater, forensics DNA
* Contribute to critical information in support of the
DOD and Intelligence Community.

A week in the life of a Lead DNA Forensic Scientist:
* This position includes 6 months per year of deployed
work, likely in the CENTCOM area of responsibility,
with the remaining 6 months working at Fort Gillem.
* You will be part of a team, using your expertise to
add to the an overall assessment of information
related to recovered materials.
* Perform routine DNA analysis and manage/mentor a
team of Junior DNA analysts, Forensic Chemists,
Firearm and Tool Mark Analysts and Latent Print
* This position report directly to the contract

* The candidate must have an active, Department of
Defense Secret Clearance.
* The candidate must have a bachelor s degree in a
relevant technical discipline, such as genetics,
forensic science, etc. An advanced degree in either
a relevant technical discipline or a management
discipline in addition to a relevant technical
bachelor s degree is preferred.
* The candidate must have a minimum of 8 years of
experience working in a lab performing DNA analysis
on collected material and physical evidence.
Experience should include examining DNA profile
suitability for matches and submissions to database,
conducting complex DNA examinations, maintaining
chain of custody, and formulating interpretation
results for forensic and/or intelligence
exploitation. Additionally, the candidate should
