**Your Role and Responsibilities**
IBM is hiring Sales professional. The LinuxONE global sales and BDE is responsible for developing strategies and pursuing new business leads to grow LinuxONE business in new and existing customers. The primary role of the global Sales and BDE leader is to create compelling offers and tactics to attract new clients to the LinuxONE offering. Key responsibilities include the following :
+ Create Strategic Business Plan for LinuxONE New Workload and New Client Acquisition, including development of brand sales priorities and key clients within target market segments.
+ Develop key selling initiatives, including associated sales plays and incentives.
+ Partner with Brand Sales, OM, and Performance Marketing to create compelling plays and content to drive inbound leads and condition market. Ensure marketing activities are aligned to sales plays and in period promotions.
+ Provide hands on sales leadership to critical opportunities, coach local teams on value proposition and sales tactics.
+ Build contacts with potential clients to create new business opportunities, and provide prospecting direction for junior prospecting associate.
+ Take leadership role in quarterly forecasting process across WW GEO LinuxONE teams.
**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
For this IBM role, we require:
+ 5+ years of direct sales experience
+ 2+ years of management experience
+ Familiarity with highly engineered systems hardware + Linux landscape
+ Familiarity with hybrid and public cloud deployment models
+ Ability to operate and influence in highly matrixed, global management team
+ Competitive analysis and market opportunity assessment skills
+ Strong analytical skills, detail oriented
+ Excellent written and verbal communication, especially the ability to be persuasive
**Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise**
In addition to the required skills, for this IBM role we prefer:
+ An understanding of Financial Services, Service Provider, or Public Sector Industries
+ Familiarity with IT hardware security infrastructure
+ Excellent coaching skills; ability to observe, evaluate, and give meaningful feedback
