JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Applied Research Associates, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Engineering Manager as a technical expert leading a team or supporting various customers to include but not limited to the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Defense, and the Intelligence Community (IC). ARA provides a broad range of technical expertise in defense technologies, civil technologies, computer software and simulation, systems analysis, environmental technologies, and testing and measurement.
Applicant serves as a professional authority. Leads staff to analyze, model and optimize distribution networks using advanced logistics software. This could covers location of sites, allocation of resources, inventory placement and size, selection of transportation mode, freight consolidation, closed loop tours, dedicated opportunities, continuous moves, intermodal and more. Collects, processes and maintains data and reports for analysis. Implements, monitors and adjusts solutions, working with the Operations Group. Interacts with clients to understand their distribution network. Presents and explains solutions to customers. Assists customer in evaluating prospective distribution networks and write proposals.
* Bachelors Degree in relevant/related field
* Minimum of 10 years experience
* Active DoD SECRET clearance
* Masters Degree in relevant/related field
* Certification Level II Program Manager/Logistics
* Minimum 9 years experience
* Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
* DHS Suitability
This position is contingent upon award of a contract expected in July 2020 supporting the Department of Homeland Security.
