DESCRIPTION OF SPECIFIC DUTIES IN A TYPICAL WORKDAY FOR THIS POSITION:
This individual will provide development and design support to the CONNECTIONS project during development and maintenance activities to maintain New York State s Automated Child Welfare Information System for OCFS, LDSS, and Voluntary Agencies. In particular, this position will focus on CONNECTIONS work as it relates to CCWIS Data Exchanges
The following are tasks that include, but are not limited to:
participation in requirement and design sessions
Setting technical direction for the future of the CONNECTIONS application.
Serve as a conduit between technical and non-technical staff explaining new software/controls/processes
Serve as technical guide rfor new designs incorporating WCF, and Web API functionality
Develop data exchanges to import and export data to and from child welfare contributing agencies.
Developing appropriate system documentation.
3 years of experience designing, developing and supporting child welfare applications under the SACWIS or CCWIS federal regulations.
7 years of experience developing applications using VB.NET and .net framework 4.0 or above.
6 years of experience developing applications using WPF.
6 years of experience developing applications using WCF.
6 years of experience developing applications using the MVC, MVVM, or similar patterns.
6 years of experience using ODP.NET, SQL, PL/SQL, writing stored procedures, functions, packages in minimum version of Oracle 10g or higher.
6 years of experience performing regression and integration testing.
5 years of experience developing REST based API methods
