Reporting to the Director of IT Engineering the Network Engineer is accountable for converting high-level designs, implementation and management into the overall project management service roadmap. He or she will be responsible for Level 3 support services including high-level escalation, troubleshooting and resolving network related issues.
Work from the Pittsburgh, PA office with flexible remote working options

Build, design, and refresh customer networks
Troubleshoot and resolve network escalated issues
Configure, install, upgrade and maintain routers, switches and firewalls
Implement voice, networking, and security projects
Handle calls from clients on current and possible projects
Keep current on technologies within the networking and security field.
Provide presale support for sales team as follows:
Cisco network, security, and wireless products
FortigatePalo Alto Security Products
General Network Architecture
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, the Network Engineer is responsible for the following additional responsibilities and duties:
Assist the Advanced Engineering staff as needed with special projects and other duties.
College degree in Computer Science/ MIS preferred. 3+ years of relevant and significant industry experience may provide as a substitute for the education requirement. CCNA equivalent certification required; CCNP equivalent recommended.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing, administering and managing LAN/WAN
Experience in supporting and troubleshooting large, complex LAN/WAN network
WAN technologies knowledge is a must (VPLS, MAN, Ethernet/Fiber)
Extensive experience with routing and switching infrastructure in a multi-protocol environment
Wireless technologies including cloud controllers and access points
Ability to respond to on-call situations within required SLA parameters
Experience with private, public cloud networking and virtual networking such as VMware NSX
Knowledge of routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP)
Experience with IPSEC/VPN, SD-WAN technology
Experience with IPS/IDS, Firewall, DMZ, VPN, IPS, and authentication methods
TRAVEL: The Network Engineer will have to travel on occasion to client sites and data centers. (20%)
