The UCLA Cardiac Arrhythmia Program seeks an experienced Nurse Practitionernwith recent acute care experience for UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica and RonaldnReagan UCLA Medical Center.
The NP functions in an interdependent role by implementing thenappropriate Standardized Procedures (SPs). By using the SPs the NP is able tonchange treatment regimen after observing signs and symptoms of illness,nreactions to treatment, general behavior and physical condition and determinesnif they are abnormal findings (Ca Nursing Practice Act, subsection(b) ofnSection 2725). The NP will provide and coordinate the care of patients,nprovide patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care. The NPnalso participates in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provides educationnand support, as well as makes appropriate referrals. Document servicesnrendered. Cardiology/Cardiac Electrophysiology background preferred.
NPIII is designated as an expert resource within the specialization or clinicalnexperienceQualifications
MSN with annAcute Care Nurse Practitioner specialty. CA RN and NP required. NationalnCertification in NP specialty required.
1 year orngreater NP experience required.
Experience in Cardiology/Cardiac Electrophysiology preferred.
