JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY

This position performs Investor Reporting functions for various product types including Institutional, Agency, Conduit, Syndications and CMBS. These various products require independent thinking and a thorough understanding of the industry and reporting requirements. Must use independent judgement regularly. Required to be analytical and address complex issues.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Perform a variety of Investor Reporting functions including:


Prepare and deliver daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reports to investors.



Prepare remittance disbursements and other wire transfers as necessary.


Serve as subject matter expert for all outsourced investor reporting functions to offshore team located in India, including daily remittance allocations, monthly CMBS remittance packages to various lenders and other lender specified reporting packages as required. Ensure business service level agreements are met.



Prepare reporting packages using a variety of third party web based applications.



Prepare a variety of statistical and informational reports per investor or manager requirements.



Respond to investor inquiries and perform research as necessary.



Assist with external and internal audit deliverables.



Participate in testing of servicing system upgrades/releases.



Provide resolution for bank reconciling items.



Special projects and other activities as assigned.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE


High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and/or a minimum of 2-4 years related experience preferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS


Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees. Ability to communicate effectively with loan servicing personnel, management, external contacts such as investors, bank personnel and auditors, by telephone, written correspondence/Email or in person preferred. Ability to read and interpret servicing agreements and other correspondence to determine reporting requirements preferred.


FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE


Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Understands discounts, commissions, ratios, proration and percentages. Prefer candidates who are able to perform complex interest calculations, understand discounts, commissions, ratios, prorations, percentages and apply balancing and problem solving techniques.


REASONING ABILITY


Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills. Prefer candidates who are able to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment, organized and highly detail oriented. Prefer candidates who are able to identify problems, research and suggest ideas for resolution and interpret an extensive variety of written or verbal instructions, and account for multiple variables.


OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES


Intermediate experience in Microsoft applications including: Word, Excel, Outlook and the ability to work on a computer database. Knowledge of McCracken's Strategy loan servicing system is preferred. Ability to operate a ten-key calculator by touch is also preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc. Intermediate level Excel experience preferred. Prefer candidates who have a basic understanding of pivot tables, use of functions, formulas, etc.
