JOB DESCRIPTIONPrivacy Analyst
The Privacy Analyst contributes to the success of our Client's privacy program by identifying, assessing, and working to reduce privacy risks as part of a comprehensive and growing privacy program. You will be called on to create, refine, communicate, and implement privacy policies, standards, and procedures, representing the Privacy Program as related to the Marketing organization.
Assists the team by creating and implementing appropriate policies and procedures, to enable consistent, effective data privacy practices, minimizes privacy risk and ensures the confidentiality of private client and colleague data.
Works closely with the Legal and Security/Technology teams to align programs to current strategy, administer organizational approach to privacy matters involving technology systems, process, and data, and ensures alignment between security, business technology, and compliance functions.
Serves as an information privacy resource to the organization regarding privacy related issues.
Partners with business leaders and provides training and direction to team members on privacy issues.
Ensures organizational compliance with applicable federal and state regulations and policy development.
Provides and/or facilitates training regarding regulations and may assist with audit findings.
Bachelors degree in information security or public policy preferred or combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
ITIL, CIPP, CIPT or CIPM Certifications
Familiarity with international privacy regulations
2+ years of experience in Privacy related to the interpretation and application of the requirements/mandates stipulated in the Privacy Act of 1974, the E-Govt Act of 2002, GDPR, CCPA, e-Privacy Directive and other framework guidance.
2+ years work experience in privacy, public policy, compliance, regulatory, or legal experience involving data privacy, data protection, cybercrime, online business, security or information technology required.
Working knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance issues arising out of data privacy, data protection, cybercrime, security and/or information technology.
Experience with NIST SP 800-53 and ISO/IEC 27701
Ability to analyze, conceptualize and organize to identify privacy requirements, and present potential solutions
Experience in privacy/security review of internal systems and tools
Proficiency in incident management - escalation to closure
Working knowledge of current privacy laws and strong willingness to learn and develop in the face of an uncertain and rapidly evolving industry and legal climate.
Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
Strong problem solving, analytical, decision-making and organizational skills paired with attention to detail.
Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications and client relationship management (CRM) programs.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other teams to achieve goals and represent the business.
Ability to pass federal level background check
What Candidate Will Do (list not inclusive):
Respond to incidents related to the breach of PII, and user awareness activities focusing on Privacy
Act as focal point for process, communication with clients, and management
Perform privacy controls assessments to ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, NIST SP 800-53 and/or other agency specific requirements
Advisor to internal teams, providing privacy expertise on user consent, data collection requirements, data storage and processing
Perform technical privacy reviews across our products that meet privacy requirements and provide alternatives to meet business objectives
Identify and drive privacy program improvements, including process improvements, tooling requirements, and opportunities to improve the experience for community
Work with internal teams to provide guidance in relation to privacy and security
Create a Privacy environment for the SAP Concur Marketing Team
Maintenance of communication portals (SharePoint, JAM, Wiki, etc.)
Response to incoming queries from Marketing team
Partner with the DPMS program lead to obtain useful information to enhance Marketing privacy environment
