INTENT OF JOB DESCRIPTION AND MODIFICATIONS
This job description describes the duties and responsibilities, qualifications requirements, physical demands, work environment, etc. for this job. Duties may be combined with other jobs or duties from other jobs depending upon operational circumstances. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following are the essential duties and responsibilities of the job. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Builds and manages specialty product programs in an assigned operation or region, with the direction of the General Manager and Regional Sales Manager.
2. Develops new client accounts for the Company through cold calls, work existing and potential client lists, contact subcontractors in the area, and negotiate pricing levels.
3. Services current clients by responding to client needs for products, recommending new products, and visiting job sites to solicit additional business and to ensure client satisfaction on all sales orders.
4. Advises and trains associates and clients on specialty products; displays or demonstrates products; and performs product estimates for clients.
5. Supports optimum inventory levels of specialty products through sales planning, forecasts and client orders.
6. Reports market activity to management by monitoring and analyzing competitors price lists and products; and makes product
recommendations for inclusion in the Company s product mix.
7. Attends and participates in all Company sponsored training programs as required.
8. Performs any other duties, responsibilities or tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as bids, basic blue prints, takeoffs, engineered drawings and procedural manuals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
A valid driver's license of the appropriate type and class issued by the state of residence. Furthermore, if assigned a company vehicle, the driver's record must be acceptable to the Company's insurance carrier and must conform to all restrictions listed on the license in order to operate any Company truck or vehicle. If driving a personal vehicle, the individual must carry insurance levels on their vehicle of at least $100,000 of liability coverage per person, $300,000 total per accident and $50,000 for property damage.
Prior experience using project planning software is required, with the ability to utilize Microsoft Office word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Professional level sales knowledge of the design and manufacturing of specialty products is required.
Some travel may be required.
