JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Responsibilities
Under the general supervision of the Director of the Quality Management (QM) and Rehabilitation (Rehab) Services Departments for the Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital, serving as the Assistant to the Director and Office Manager, the incumbent assumes responsibility for providing essential coordination and administrative support for the department.
Develops the operating budget for the department based on projected departmental needs for supplies, equipment (repair and purchasing), telephone, subscriptions, document services, reproduction, and travel. In addition, monitors and tracks budgeted expenditures, recognizing problem areas and implements corrective actions. Initiates annual purchase orders, and processes and/or approve check requests, recharges and other items related to accounts payable and receivable.
Responsible for organizing and servicing the professional staff committees, including, but not limited to, the RNPH Performance Improvement and Patient Safety Committee, Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee, Ethics Committee, ECT Committee, and Information Management Committee. Provides high-level analysis of data in preparation for monthly and annual reports, and records the committee minutes, organizes, and preserve all committee records in established files/formats. Serves as a resource person and represents the Director and Department of Quality and Rehabilitation Services in interactions with staff and all levels of management on campus as well as outside agencies.
Coordinates preparation for the Joint Commission triennial accreditation survey for RNPH. Coordinates the LPS survey and any required follow-up correspondence. Prepares and analyzes a monthly report for the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health with data collected from all Resnick inpatient units, Clinical Liaison, ECT, and the Ronald Reagan Emergency Department.
Provides office management and assistance with hiring.Maintains the department s policies and procedures and reviews and revises as needed.
Five years' experience in administrative analysis, or an equivalent of both education and experience.
Extensive knowledge and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
