Our diverse workforce is uniquely focused on empowering New Yorkers, without exception, to live the healthiest life possible.Job DescriptionNYC Health + Hospitals (H+H) is looking for a Reference Lab Outbreak Services Response Lead to join the Lab Services Office. The Lab Services Office works closely with reference labs to enable as many New Yorkers as possible to be tested for COVID-19. Reference labs are critical to the success of the Citywide testing strategy, as they provide the necessary scale of testing capacity in accordance with agreed-upon performance metrics to facilitate successful contact tracing with positive cases and their contacts before any substantial COVID-19 transmission can occur. NYC Health + Hospitals is responsible for ensuring reference labs are connecting to key city testing collection partners and other providers, while pushing for reference labs to constantly evaluate and improve specimen collection, their turn around times, and related supply chains.Under the direction of the Vice President for Clinical Operations, the Reference Lab Outbreak Services Response Lead will be responsible for:* Monitoring system-level reference lab performance on a daily basis to ensure labs meet contractual requirements.* Managing the development of tools, mechanisms and deliverables (i.e. performance metrics, data visualizations, reports) that speak to and monitor reference lab performance.* Developing administrative and operational processes, practices, templates, policies, and tools to successfully execute tasks relevant to reference lab performance.* Serving as the designated point of contact with leadership and staff of reference labs to ensure problem solving, data collection, and appropriate compliance methods are in place to align lab performances with T2 needs and ensure timely handling of testing caseloads.* Regularly escalating reference lab performance issues, as required, to applicable labs and H+H leadership, when appropriate.* Developing the roadmap and long-term strategy of lab capacity and technologies to ensure lab partnerships and capabilities meet T2's operational needs and the City's overall COVID-19 response.* Supervising the Project Manager, Reference Lab Outbreak Services Response, evaluating their work and providing ongoing guidance.* Other related duties as directedMinimum Qualifications1. Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in Business or Public Administration, Healthcare Management, Engineering, Social Sciences, Physical Sciences or related discipline; and2. Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in project and program management, execution, and implementation, three (3) years of which must have been in the administration, management and/or execution of projects and programs of various complexities, including work in health care program planning, research, design or related area; or3.
