St. David's Georgetown Hospital, which is part of St. David's HealthCare, is a 114-bed facility offering a range of services, including a 24-hour emergency department with a level IV trauma center; Certified Primary Stroke Center; inpatient and outpatient surgery; advanced pulmonary intervention; critical care capabilities; acute inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation; orthopedics and joint replacement; and maternity and newborn services with mother-baby couplet care close to home for Georgetown families. St. David's Georgetown Hospital has been a community healthcare resource in Williamson County for the past 70 years. The hospital opened its current location in 1979, and it is the only hospital in Georgetown. In 2019, St. David's Georgetown Hospital was named among the nation's 100 Top Hospitals by IBM Watson Health (formerly known as Truven) in conjunction with its parent campus, St. David's Medical Center, which made the list for the tenth consecutive year. Responsible for professional nursing care and related assistance to patients with a broad range of illnesses. The RN is involved in direct and indirect patient care. The RN provides direction to licensed vocational nurses (LVNs) and other non-licensed nursing personnel in providing direct patient care. The staff nurse supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the objectives of the hospital. In collaboration with other health team members, follows the philosophy, policies and goals of the facility and department.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required: Graduate of accredited nursing school
Preferred: Computer skills
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES:
Current Texas RN license (or current compact RN licensure in approved state if claiming residency in other state); BLS certification ACLS required in: L&D, ED, PACU, Endo, ICU, Imaging, OR (only if performing moderate sedation activities). New hires have 90 days to obtain ACLS, ER 6 months.
If your compact license is from a state besides Texas, you will be required to obtain a TX Nursing License within 90 days after your start date.
Preferred: Previous experience in clinical nursing preferred.
