EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Master's degree in psychology or related field with specialization appropriate to area of assignment and five (5) years supervised applicable experience in area of psychology or field to which assigned. Licensure as Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The preferred candidate's education/experience:

Master's Degree in Psychology

5 years supervisory experience

LPC licensure required

Research experience in the field of psychiatric illness with a focus on mood disorders or prior experience conducting clinical assessments.

JOB DUTIES
-------------------------
Participates in wide range of psychologically based patient-care activities ranging from individual psychological counseling and behavior modification to management of units, such as remedial-therapeutic classrooms and specially designed therapeutic settings.
Designs, implements, and, as required, supervises clinical and laboratory research in such areas as animal research, child development, physiological and behavioral functioning, etc., using statistical techniques and interpreting research findings.
Plans and administers health-related data information systems, including psychological testing programs and compilation of patient-care statistics.
Designs and/or constructs test programs and instrumentation for and/or constructing test programs and instrumentations for psychological research as well as clinical services purposes.
Serves as member of health team of service to which assigned.
Participates in consultations with personnel of other departments within university and affiliates and acts as liaison with outside public and private agencies.
May supervise work of one or Psychological Assistants and/or Psychological Associates of lower rank by planning, coordinating, assigning, and reviewing work.
Participates in data analysis, preparation of funding proposals, progress reports, manuscripts, etc.

Performs other duties as assigned.
