As the multi-specialty group practice for the faculty of the University of Minnesota Medical School, University of Minnesota Physicians has more than 950 physicians and 1,600 health professionals, providing clinical care in over 100 specialty and sub-specialty areas. Our mission is three-fold: delivering exceptional patient care, advancing medicine through research, and training the next generation of health professionals.The RN - Infusion performs both independent nursing and delegated medical functions as member of the clinic care team. The independent nursing includes assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for assigned patient population(s) in the ambulatory care setting. The delegated medical functions include participation in and coordination of delegated patient care to other health care team members. This individual also assists the Provider with complex procedures and independently completes a variety of tasks including, but not limited to; injections, infusions, phone triage, and preparation of education materials, patient education, patient vital checks, chart documentation and monitors standards of care.
