JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

RNnis a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for angroup of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to thesenpatients via the nursing process and other input from healthcare team members.

Under direct supervision of the Unit Director, the primary responsibilities ofnthe clinical nurse include the direct nursing care of patients utilizing thennursing process; development and application of leadership, management, andncommunication concepts; teaching of patients and staff; maintenance ofnprofessional standards.Qualifications

Clinical skills applicable to nursing specialty.

Writing skills to accurately document the operative procedure with allninterventions; i.e., drug and supply dispensing, equipment measurements andnteam member presence.

Skills in setting priorities, organizing workload effectively and integratingnmultiple assignments with multilevel personnel.

Skill in speaking the English language with excellent medical/surgical terminology.

Ability to comply with department standards inclusive of: attendance, dressncode and varied work schedule. Must pass a physical.

Must have at least 2 years of ICU experience as well as adult and pediatricnexperience.

BSN or MSNndegree required. Official Transcripts and/or original diplomanfrom a registered nursing program must be provided upon hire

Current andnvalid California RN license required.
