JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

Presents the RTC middle- and high-school programs tonadolescents in public and private schools, youth groups, and other venues.nProvides crisis intervention services, advocacy, and information and referralsnservices to adolescents in the school setting. Consults with school personnelnregarding child abuse and sexual harassment. Assists in curriculum developmentnand in the development and implementation of related multimedia events. Assistsnin the establishment and maintenance of collaborative relations with schoolndistrict personnel. This is a 50% career/part-time position.Qualifications

LCSW/MSCW M.A. /MFT/Ph.D. Psychology. Knowledge ofnadolescent developmental issues, post-traumatic stress disorder, and symptomsnand effects of child sexual abuse, sexual assault, and sexual harassment.nExperience in providing crisis intervention, counseling and advocacy tonadolescents. Knowledge of teaching and classroom management skills; andnexperience in teaching or public speaking. Strong verbal/written communicationnskills. Knowledge of and sensitivity to the diversenethnicities/nationalities/cultures represented in Southern California publicnschools, including Latino, African-American, and Asian-American populations.nMust have a valid California Driver's License and furnish an auto withninsurance; frequent travel (3-4 times per week) to school sites. Bilingualn(Spanish-English) strongly preferred
