nnUnder the supervision of the Security Dispatch Manager,ndispatches Security Personnel to emergency and non-emergency calls for service.nProcess and record emergency and routine complaints for service. Answersnincoming phone calls, operates a computer dispatch system, and monitors alarmsnsystems. Monitor and direct appropriate response to all calls for service,nvisually monitor extensive CCTV system, and other duties assigned. Incumbentnmust possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be able to type at least 30wpm.
**This is a limited 6 month appointment**Qualifications
Communicate with allied security/police agencies toncoordinate emergency/non-emergency information in real-time. (Required)
Demonstrates the ability tonoperate a 2 way radio base station system, ability to operate telephonenequipment. (Required)
The ability to use proper security/police terminology tondisseminate/receive information from field units, allied agencies for emergentnand non-emergent calls for service. (Calls received by radio, telephone,npassersby). (Preferred)
Demonstrates the ability to practice and adhere to UCLA CI-CAREnpractices to all clientele. (Will Train)
Properly dispatch/categorize all call types fornservice. Knowledge of all changing instruction(s) via email, phone, in-person,nco-worker(s), supervision, management, police, client(s), and whiteboardnpass-on (verbal-written). (Will Train)
Ability to operate a access control system. (Will Train)
Knowledge of CCTV systemnestablished protocols/operation of all equipment including tracking maintenancenneeds of cameras, servers. Knowledge/Identify contact assistance for anynoperational issues that may affect views/footage. Knowledge of cameranlocations. Positions, PTZ's vs Fixed, monitor suspect(s) movement for innprogress investigations and all recent activity. (Preferred)
Completes 5-7 weeks ofntraining with a CTO (Certified training Officer) to work in a fast pacednenvironment Ability to retain information, multi-task in a high pressurenenvironment Valid CA Driver's License 120 hour basic California PostnCertification, (Preferred).
Ability to work various shifts, hours, days, weekends and holidays. (Required)
